UPDATE: OPEN REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
Thank you to everyone who signed up during the reserve registration last Saturday. It was great to see y'all and we're looking forward to another exciting Bronco season!
We will now have open registration in the same location this Saturday (6/20) at the FJH football field equipment shed (Football) and pavilion (Drill, Cheer, Mini-Cheer).
MANY OPENINGS ARE AVAILABLE FOR DRILL, CHEER, MINI-CHEER!!!
Drill/Cheer (Ages 8-12) - Drill - $200, Cheer (optional) - $150, Mini-Cheer (Ages 5-7) - $180. See our Dril & Cheer tab for more information regarding coaches, etc. If you have any questions or would like additional information please e-mail our Director (Jessica Fenn - firstname.lastname@example.org) or our Broncos Board at email@example.com.
We would also LOVE to hear from anyone with interest in Flag Football for 5-6 year olds! TIFI is tackle only, but we don't want to lose our flag football for these ages. If there's enough interest, the Broncos will create a local league to teach the basics and have a lot of fun. If interested please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
As many of you are aware, the number of players participating in youth football has been declining for the last several years. While the Friendswood Broncos organization has been able to maintain the number of players needed to field at least one, if not several teams to compete in every division, unfortunately many other area teams within STYFA (South Texas Youth Football Association) were unable to do so. As a result, the Friendswood Broncos have had less and less teams to compete against throughout this time. Based on this reality and additional decreases expected in 2020, STYFA had no choice but to dissolve.
Fortunately for FYFA (Friendswood Broncos), given our positive reputation and ability to field teams at every division, we have been accepted to participate within the TIFI (Texas Intercity Football, Inc.) league. TIFI is very well established being in existence since 1971 and the league values / rules very much align with those of the Friendswood Broncos organization. We are very appreciative to be included as one of the 15+ area teams participating within this organization.
We hope this information better helps you understand FYFA’s reason for this transition.
We do expect there to be many positives with this change. One of note is every Bronco division will all play at home or all play on the road against a common area opponent each week. The 1st game is the PeeWee division followed by Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior making game times much more predictable and creating a great opportunity for our entire Broncos family to be together and cheer each other on each week. It is also a huge benefit to parents with multiple players in the league having all their kids in the same location every week.
Unfortunately, as a result of this league change, the Friendswood Broncos will no longer be open enrollment to the community as STYFA was the last such organization in the area offering this opportunity. Based on TIFI rules there will be a Reserve Registration on June 13th at the FJH main field equipment shed for Bronco players who played last year. If there are any remaining slots available after Reserve Registration, there will then be an Open Registration to the public on June 20th. We will provide updates through social media after Reserve Registration is completed.
The football registration fee is $300, with an option to buy your players helmet which can be discussed with the FYFA representatives during registration if interested. Registration payment can be made via cash, check or Venmo.
TIFI Tackle division / age details are:
**5 & 6 year old – TIFI is tackle football only. FYFA is currently working to offer a non-tackle option for these ages which would be very similar to flag football played in years past. If interested, please e-mail us at the address below. We will keep you informed as progress is made.

FLEX Football Update,
The decision has been made by the Friendswood Broncos board that we will NOT be hosting a FLEX football season this summer (originally scheduled for this spring).
This was a difficult decision, but given the limited time, resources, players/coach losses, and logistical issues encountered due to the quarantine, it was agreed upon by the Bronco board the best option was to cancel.
Coaches were informed earlier this week and should be communicating this same message if they have not done so already.
FLEX football will be refunding registration fees (minus jersey cost) in the near future. If equipment had already been purchased / rented there will also be a refund policy in this situation (along with return policy if equipment had already been sent). We haven't yet rec'd the exact details, but are working to have this answer soon.
We were very excited to introduce FLEX football to our league this spring, but unfortunately it was not possible. We look forward to making this happen next year!
If anyone has any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

The Registration "Home" is not currently available.
Our goal is to create a fun and family friendly environment where boys and girls from 5-12 years old can participate in both football, drill and cheer. FYFA is focused on teaching the fundamentals of the sport while instilling good sportsmanship, teamwork, and building character both on and off the field.
Every decision we make has our kids' best interests in mind. We will continue to make Broncos Program the best experience in the South.
FYFA Broncos Board
Friendswood Youth Football Association - FYFA is a youth football, drill and cheer organization serving Friendswood, Texas. We participate in Flag Football, Tackle football, Drill and Cheer from ages 5-12. We are a proud supporter of USA Football's Heads Up Tackling.
USA Football's Heads Up Tackling is a step by step protocol to teach the core principles of the skill and sets a new standard in player safety. The program utilizes five fundamentals through a series of drills to reinforce proper tackling mechanics and teach players how to properly tackle with a focus on reducing helmet contacts.
These fine organizations make what we do possible. Please show your support to these amazing sponsors and thank them for their commitment to our organization. Interested in becoming a sponsor? Click here to learn more about our sponsorship opportunities
